My approach to personal training is built around structure, progression, and consistency. Whether your goal is weight loss, strength, muscle tone, or simply feeling better, I create a customized training plan designed specifically for you.

With 18 years of experience, I focus on workouts that are effective, trackable, and enjoyable so you can make real progress without feeling lost or overwhelmed. Training should challenge you, but it should also be something you look forward to.

Vern Tolman

Fitness has been a huge part of my life for the last 18 years. I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a background in Exercise Science at Sacramento State, combining hands-on experience with evidence-based training methods to help clients reach their goals safely and effectively.

My own fitness journey started from a place many people can relate to — I was naturally very skinny and lacked confidence in my body. Through years of learning, consistency, and hard work, I transformed myself into the physique I once dreamed of achieving and went on to compete in bodybuilding competitions.

That journey is the reason I am passionate about helping others. I know firsthand how much fitness can change not just your body, but your confidence, energy, and overall quality of life.

Whether your goal is weight loss, building strength, gaining muscle, or simply feeling healthier and more confident, my goal is to create a clear, personalized plan that helps you get there as efficiently and realistically as possible — while still enjoying the process along the way.

Vern is a great trainer, he is full of knowledge that helped me understand the why's behind our workouts. I was more educated on how our body works simply through conversations between sets. Vern  always greets me with a smile and already has the things we were going to do set up so we didn't lose much time. Maximizing the time together is important to him which was a great feeling to know he wanted the same thing I did. To help me be healthier.  I never lifted before. I was a beginner. He helped me lose 46 lbs and gain muscle in the process. It wasn't easy but with his help it made it possible. I'm forever grateful.
